A new low for the Hilton line of Hampton Inns. I mean, I know they had a bad-ass hurricane here, but I think they could clean and fix things up a little. Please?

That's a handle to the bathroom door. We would have picked it up and put it back on but were afraid of the creatures living in the corner of grime and grit.


AFTERWORD (ADDED ONE WEEK LATER): I received a call from someone high up in marketing at Hampton Inn who discovered my blog and called to say my room would be free because I was dissatisfied. Good response and customer relations -- don't you think?

Dear Mr. Ad,

Thank you for the review. We believe you may be referring to another hotel as we are almost 60 miles away from New Orleans and there are several Hampton properties in that area. They are much older than our hotel as we were built from the ground up just 10 years ago. From your description of an older hotel, chances are it refers to another property.

Please contact me at your convenience if that is not the case so I may address your concerns.

Dear EChap: It is the Hampton Inn on St. Charles in the Garden District in New Orleans. It APPEARS to be realitively new, but your maintenance and housekeeping teams have worked to "neglect" it into old age.

Thank you for your new post, it is absolutely appreciated. I also appreciate you sharing and taking the time to highlight, not only the positives, but challenges that we were able to overcome. While our goals is to always ensure a quiet environment at times with 600 guests it can be a little bit more difficult. It was great to see that the team responded quickly and eliminated that issue but know that we work hard to avoid guests having to call.

We look forward to having you back with us in the future and thank you again for taking the time to post your comments on our New Orleans property.

My name is Eduardo Chapoval and I have been working in Miami, FL since 1995. I have never managed, worked for nor been associated with any hotels at or near the city or state listed on this blog nor wrote the entries shown as entered by "echap". These entries are fraudulent as it looks like it was copied and pasted from responses I have written to clients who entered reviews at trip advisor.com for our Miami Airport Hampton. these entrie are false, fraudulent, unauthorized and I request the immediate correction of this error.
